The capital of the Camargue, a major town in Provence, a seaside resort and a pilgrimage destination for gypsies from all over Europe, this town is famous for many reasons: its authentic natural spaces of marshes and ponds, its omnipresent bullfighting tradition and the many folk and traditional festivals it hosts every year.

Culture buffs will appreciate a visit to the town: discover the fortified Romanesque church and its crypt dedicated to the patron saint of gypsies, Saint Sarah; visit the Marquis Baroncelli's house-museum, which traces the history of the Camargue and recounts the daily life of the inhabitants of this region rich in character; enter the Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer bullring to discover an emblematic site of French bullfighting

June (3rd weekend): Votive festival with parades, bull runs and folk music.
July (around 14th): Horse fair with shows and gypsy music.
October (around 22nd): Pilgrimage with processions and light shows on the beach.
november 11: Abrivado festival with bulls and gardians on the beach.
December (1st weekend): Pilgrimage with town processions and ceremonies

We're located in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional de Camargue, renowned for the diversity of its flora and fauna.

The protected sites allow you to discover the unique riches of the region: pink flamingos and other species of seabirds, salt marshes, rice fields, numerous ponds, etc.
